Centre Training (Optional)
When: Tuesdays, 6:00 to 7:00pm, starting October 2017.
**Check the calendar for breaks over school holidays. No training Melbourne Cup Day**
Training is not compulsory. It is an optional extra offering by the Centre for any registered member to take advantaged of.
What: A program is offered which combines a combination of fitness, fun, and athletics skills. We cater for all ages, from U6 to U15, but with the coaching fine tuned for each age group. As an example, junior athletes will enjoy a variety of games aimed at teaching the basics, while older athletes will be trained in specialist athletic skills

Cost: Free to KLAC members
Parents must be in attendance whilst their child(ren) are training.
Sessions will conducted under the direction of Professional Coaching supplier, Proactive. For further information about this program, please see here.
What happens if it rains? We will train regardless – we have an all weather track, clubrooms if we need them, and will adapt the training to suit the conditions. The same applies to hot weather – unless the temperature is forecast to be 38 degrees or more (at Tullamarine) after 5pm – upon which we cancel the training via a note placed on the front page of the website.

The relay season is short and sharp, so the commitment to training is manageable. Training for each age group will only be for one 45 minute session each week, with dates to be confirmed.
