November 12th November was a big day for Keilor, with athletes competing at the NMR Regional Multi-event, Mentone Relay Day and Box Hill relay day. So how did we go?
NMR MULTI’S 2017, HUME TRACK
Congratulations to our amazing Keilor Team who competed in the NMR Multi’s today.
We had 24 athletes who tested themselves against many other athletes from the region and performed many personal best jumps, throws and running times.
17 of our athletes finished with Top 10 performances and there were 8 medal winners – a wonderful achievement from such a small group of athletes.
Congratulations to our Medal Winners:
Under 9 Boys: Koby Bewick
Under 11 Girls: Lara Sacaner
Under 13 Boys: Frank Mazza
Under 10 Boys: Antoine Maitland
Under 12 Girls: Maire McEvoy
Under 14 Girls: Alyssa Di Martino
Under 15 Girls: Amy Kirk
Under 15 Boys: Wilson Cram
These and other performances meant that Keilor finished 3rd on the day, a great result.
Full results are found here.
A big Thank You to the parents who performed duties, especially to those who performed an extra duty to help me out.
We look forward to many more of the Keilor Team joining this group at the STATE MULTI’S in late January.
(Michelle Graham, Keilor Team Manager NMR Multievent)
Check out the photos of the U10 boys who competed today – and there are more pictures on our Facebook page.
BOX HILL RELAY DAY
Great effort today by all.
U13 girls 3rd in 200m
U13 boys 1st in medley
The under 10s had a small team of 4 boys and 4 girls, who did a great job. The boys made finals of both 4×100 and 4×200, and the mixed 4×100 won their heat although they were just behind the medalists in the final.
MENTONE RELAY DAY
The U11’s went to the Mentone Relay Day chasing the competition and boy what a day.
8 teams were entered.
6 teams made finals, each finishing in the top 5, with 1 podium finish.
Congratulations to our 4×200 mixed team Celina, Mitchell, Jasmine and Damon who ran against the U12’s and came 3rd.
With only 1 age group representing Keilor we did it loud and proud. Parents and kids cheering from the side lines, lots of laughing and smiling from the Keilor team all day long.

COMING UP SOON – NMR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, WHITTLESEA TRACK, 25TH NOVEMBER
With lots of great athletes, dedicated coaches and valuable experience gained from the Keilor Open Relay day, this could be another day of relays successes for Keilor. I look forward to seeing our teams run.
