Congratulations to Team Keilor for their terrific Cross Country running at the State Championships at Cruden Farm.
In very cold and windy conditions, our 26 determined athletes ran the course in races numbering up to 70 athletes. They tackled Benita Johnson Boulevard, pushed themselves up Craig Mottram Mound, over Steve Moneghetti Mountain and finished strongly across the Alan Triscott trail.
Many of our athletes ran personal best times and seven of our athletes finished in the Top 20. Two managed Top 10 finishes – Rayvia McIntosh (U/15) 5th and Finn Daffey (U/9) 6th. Each athlete also contributed to our great results in the team events.
A BIG congratulations to our U/13 Boys team (Nicholas Landgren, Jackson McMenamin and James Wilcox) on winning a Bronze Medal. A fantastic achievement.
Other team results were:
- Under 10 Girls: 6th
- Under 13 Girls: 7th
- Under 9 Boys: 4th
- Under 10 Boys: 6th
- Under 11 Boys: 4th & 8th
A big thank you to all the parents for completing duties and for supporting the club throughout the Cross Country season
