Keilor’s Georgia Bertrand (GU15) & Centre Captain Lauren Caruso (GU15) were standouts at last weekend’s State Multi-Event Championships finished with Gold and Bronze medals respectively.
In a nail bighting finish to the event Georgia (2337 points) finished 1 point ahead of second placed athlete, Kate Boulter from Box Hill (2336 points) with Lauren not far behind.
In winning the championships Georgia can lay claim to being the best all-round athlete in the State. Georgia’s wins also secured her place in the Victorian team competing at the Australian Little Athletics Championships to be hield in Perth on 26th April.
In a small contingent of TeamKeilor, other athletes to make their way to the championships and put in tremendous efforts against the State’s best all-round athletes were:
Kelera Ratu (GU12) – 14th
Nathaniel Crosbie (BU13) – 35th
Genie Poplawski (GU9) – 41st
William Poplawski (BU11) – 51st
Well done to all our athletes and the families.
