Centre Champs is coming - the highlight of the year for some athletes, this is the one event of the year where the emphasis is on placings rather than PBs.
NOTE - Track events will start at 8.30am, field events at 9.15 am
NOTE 2 - Athletes can only compete in events they have entered for. We have full lists of athletes for each event.
First, second and third placings get medals, and for laned events, there may be ‘timed finals’ - which is where the results from the different heats are combined and the place-getters are chosen from the combined results.
Entry was FREE to all athletes who met our participation requirements, and where their parents had met their duty requirements.
The full list of entrants is found via the link below:
Duty Roster
All families are required to do one (and in some cases two) duties at the centre champs. The duty roster is published below.
When reading this roster, please note the following:
Duty is by the child(s) surname - not parents
Those allocated a 'spares' duty will be called via the PA as needed
If duty time does not suit, parents need to swap with another family - duty roster will not be amended
Families need to check-in at the office, cross their name off and go to your event. We have asked families to sign in at least 15 minutes early so they have time to collect a vest and get to the event to set up or handover. This also gives us time to make alternative arrangements for last-minute no shows.
At each event there will be a print out with the names of who should be their / times / age groups covered. If volunteers are missing this should be called through to the centre table to announced.
If a family has decided not to attend Championship Day at all, please let us know in advance
Of note, there are no team managers or calls to the Marshall tent on Championship Day, athletes are to go directly to their event when called
